Position Description

Entertainment Management Group (EMG) is an innovative, fast-growing, privately-held company dedicated to the development of publishing, distribution, licensing and promotional tools for musicians.

EMG has developed a website called tunerax.com that seeks to empower independent musicians  to manage their careers.  Tunettrax  provides artists with a powerful online toolset tailored to the needs to publish, promote, distribute their music.

We are looking for a Marketing guru to join our team and to lead and implement digital marketing campaigns for a diverse roster of artists and for the company. This role is responsible for sales, digital marketing, social media content, promotion, and publicity. The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of all digital music and social platforms and best practices, plus existing relationships across the digital and music landscape.  Music industry, start-up, senior level/executive experience, multi-lingual and world traveler are all a big plus.  We are ready to take our organically grown business to the next level. 

We are looking for someone who know how to get things done, with an entrepreneur spirit, who likes and knows the music industry, has a flexible schedule, and get excited about personal growth and business opportunities. Potential  travel might be required (March thru June)

Compensation:  This is a independent contractor position. Compensation will be based on monthly and quarterly performance goals and time frame agreed upon. Ideally we are looking for someone who can see him/herself ultimately be permanently part of the team. We are looking for someone to be vested into the start-up.

Marketing Tasks

  • Lead digital marketing campaigns and strategy for a roster of artists
  • Manage digital advertising campaigns
  • Direct and provide best practices for artist social media campaigns
  • Manage digital marketing campaign budgets
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for digital and social platforms
  • Analyze data regularly

WHAT SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or relevant field • 5+ years’ experience working within music marketing, specifically digital marketing •In depth knowledge of digital marketing, social marketing and best practices • An understanding of digital revenue accounts • Relationships & experience working with YouTube and play-listing partners • Working relationships with social media and influential digital platforms • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Experience managing marketing campaigns from strategy to implementation • Prior experience handling and managing budgets
